Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the snill.ai website and service ("Service") operated by Codehooks AS ("us", "we", or "our"), a company registered in Norway (Org. nr. 924 204 042).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Your Content
You retain all rights to the data, schemas, and content you create using the Service ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership over Your Content.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service. We will not use Your Content for advertising, analytics beyond service delivery, or AI model training.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
4. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Codehooks AS and are protected by Norwegian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
5. Data Processing and GDPR Compliance
5.1 Data Controller and Processor Relationship
When you use the Service, the relationship between you and Codehooks AS regarding personal data processing depends on how you use the Service:
- You as Data Controller: When you collect, store, or process personal data of your end users through the Service, you act as the Data Controller and Codehooks AS acts as your Data Processor.
- Codehooks AS as Data Controller: For your account information, billing data, and service usage data, Codehooks AS acts as the Data Controller.
5.2 Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
This section constitutes our Data Processing Agreement under Article 28 of the GDPR for situations where Codehooks AS processes personal data on your behalf.
Processing Instructions: Codehooks AS will only process personal data on your behalf in accordance with your documented instructions provided through:
- Your use of the Service features and functionality
- Your API calls and database operations
- Your configuration settings
- Written instructions provided to our support team
Categories of Personal Data: The personal data processed may include any data you choose to store or process through the Service, which may contain contact information (names, email addresses, phone numbers), user identifiers and authentication data, application-specific data, and any other personal data you input into the Service.
Categories of Data Subjects: Data subjects may include your end users, customers, employees, or other individuals whose personal data you process through the Service.
Processing Activities: Codehooks AS may process personal data for providing database and API services, performing backups and ensuring data availability, providing technical support when requested, and maintaining service security and integrity.
5.3 Data Processor Obligations
Confidentiality: All personnel authorized to process personal data are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Security: Codehooks AS implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption of data at rest and in transit, access controls and authentication mechanisms, regular security assessments and monitoring, and incident response procedures.
Sub-processors: Codehooks AS may engage sub-processors to assist in providing the Service. Current sub-processors include:
- Cloud infrastructure providers for hosting services
- Payment processors for billing services
- AI/LLM providers for AI-powered features (with anonymization of personal identifiers before submission — see our Privacy Policy for details)
- Third-party services for monitoring and analytics
We will maintain an up-to-date list of sub-processors and notify you of any changes in advance via email or our website.
Data Subject Requests: Codehooks AS will assist you in fulfilling data subject requests by providing you with technical means to respond, enabling export, modification, or deletion features, and cooperating with you when technically feasible.
Data Breach Notification: In case of a personal data breach, Codehooks AS will notify you without undue delay and within 72 hours of awareness, provide available information about the breach, and assist you in assessing whether notification to authorities is required.
5.4 Data Location and Transfers
All personal data is stored and processed within the European Union/EEA. Codehooks AS will not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA without appropriate safeguards in compliance with Chapter V of the GDPR.
5.5 Data Retention and Deletion
Codehooks AS retains personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as instructed by you. Upon termination or request, Codehooks AS will:
- Delete or return all personal data processed on your behalf
- Delete existing copies unless retention is required by law, in which case data will be securely isolated
- Complete deletion within 2 weeks
5.6 Audits and Compliance
Documentation: Codehooks AS maintains records of processing activities as required by GDPR.
Audit Rights: You may audit Codehooks AS's compliance once per year, with 30 days' prior notice, during business hours, and subject to confidentiality. Costs are borne by you unless a material breach is identified.
5.7 Your Obligations as Data Controller
You warrant that:
- You have a lawful basis for processing (GDPR Article 6)
- You have provided privacy notices to data subjects
- You have obtained necessary consents
- You comply with applicable data protection laws
You are responsible for:
- Accuracy of personal data you input
- Implementing access controls in your applications
- Responding to data subject requests regarding your processing
- Notifying authorities of data breaches when required
5.8 Liability and Indemnification
Each party is liable for its own compliance with applicable laws. Codehooks AS's liability for data processing is limited to its role as Data Processor. In all cases, Codehooks AS's aggregate liability is capped at the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Service Availability
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codehooks AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you during the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Personal data will be deleted within 2 weeks of account termination, unless legal retention requirements apply.
9. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' advance notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
